Jonathan Vincent Voight was born on December 29, 1938, in Yonkers, New York, to Barbara ( née Kamp) and Elmer Voight ( né Voytka), a professional golfer. He is the father of actress Angelina Jolie and actor James Haven. On November 21, 2019, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts.
